Biography
Stan Buller has called Spruce Grove home since childhood. A dedicated husband, father, and business owner, he and his wife are raising a busy household of four children, including one permanent foster and two more foster placements. Away from work and training, Stan enjoys camping and time outdoors with his family.
His Jiu-Jitsu journey began in 2014, when he brought his son to train with Professor Rodrigo Resende. After plenty of encouragement from Rodrigo — and realizing he needed to “walk the talk” if he was telling his son the mats were good for him — Stan committed to training himself in 2015. From that point forward, he was all in. Jiu-Jitsu quickly became his happy place: an hour to focus fully on the moment, surrounded by an extended BJJ family that has helped him grow both on and off the mats.
In 2019, Stan began assisting with kids’ classes, which soon led to teaching on his own. Today, he leads the Little Grapplers program, where his greatest joy is watching young students transform. What begins as nervousness and uncertainty soon turns into excitement, confidence, and resilience — with each child gaining skills, earning belts, and growing ready to take on the next step of their journey.
