For Andrew Beliveau, Jiu-Jitsu is truly a family affair. A proud husband and father of two, he first stepped onto the mats after enrolling his son in the Little Grapplers program nearly a decade ago. In 2016, Andrew began training himself with the goal of improving fitness and mobility, and he has been immersed in the art ever since. In December 2023, he earned his brown belt — a milestone that reflects years of dedication both as a student and as a coach.
At Vanguard, Andrew devotes his time to teaching young martial artists, bringing patience, care, and an approachable style to every class. His focus is on building strong fundamentals while creating an environment where kids feel supported, confident, and motivated to learn. Students and parents alike appreciate the encouragement and positivity he brings to the mats.
Beyond his own training, Andrew’s passion for Jiu-Jitsu has grown into a shared family journey. His wife and children also train, making the sport a meaningful part of their household. For Andrew, nothing is more rewarding than seeing his family grow together on the mats — and capturing those moments in family photos.
